make work for yourself do something
i just thought i had an idea a while back (up to 8 months in the past) a short video of about 20 minutes
maybe could take longer a live stream a screen capture application

the idea is to eat a camcorder
while it is recording

i would have a
most comfortable stool an 8′ adjustable height hardwood workbench a computer, cables, blunt and sharp tools, metal containers, bunsen burners, a bowl of ice water

the handy cam
the viewer (you) your eyes you’d watch me work hear the camera
pulled apart

my eyes, my tongue against the back of my offset teeth i’d start with the rubber bits then its plastic body i’d melt each piece down
soft
malleable shape into tiny balls, the size of a marble cool
bowl of ice water swallow them one by one while you watch eventually, i’d remove something the camera needs the video will end we’ll be separated
bound
together for a moment
maybe
in order to work

i shared this idea (fresh in my head) a while back over dinner
years ago with a girl i was dating at the time, her friend, and her friends’ friend (a student doctor) “are you fucking stupid” she asked
screaming
upset i’d given it a great deal of thought
long before she asked
before the idea “you could die” he said i’d given it a great deal of thought
long before he said
before the idea

a first impression
a one-way door
a poor one
“dont worry, i knew someone when i was young who used to do this” i said “how young?”
“do what” she asked “9, 10″
“eat things
random things lego heads, barbie hands and feet
you name it” i said “they’d swallow one, wait a day or two, then forage through their shit with kitchen gloves once they found what they were looking for they’d wash it, put it in a plastic bag, and hide it in their room” i explained “where are they now?” she asked
incredulously “they seem good
happy
healthy i heard they make 6 figures streaming their
process online” i said “people pay to watch them do that?” she asked “FINALLY!” he exclaimed, clearing the table with his arm
before i could answer “SOMEONE WITH REAL PASSION!”
uh

now most of my ideas involve you
hoo, hoo, hoo, woo, woo
i don’t know all the whys i do know
with so many people no one gets a first impression
first light the one-way door
